Clothes with a story. Made by hands that matter.
We believe clothes should feel like more than something you wear.
They should carry a little bit of where they came from.
Indysutra was born from a simple idea: Indian craftsmanship deserves a place in everyday life.
India has thousands of weavers, artisans and traditional textile crafts that have been passed down through generations. Ikat, Khadi, Kalamkari and handwoven cotton are not just fabrics or patterns—they are skills, stories and livelihoods.
But somewhere between the loom and the modern wardrobe, many of these stories get lost.
We want to change that.
From the loom to your wardrobe
At Indysutra, we work closely with artisans and weavers to discover beautiful Indian handloom textiles and turn them into clothing that feels at home in today's world.
From handloom cotton dresses and Ikat clothing to Khadi, Kalamkari and contemporary men's wear, we look for pieces that bring together traditional craftsmanship and modern, easy-to-wear silhouettes.
We don't believe traditional clothing has to look traditional.
A handwoven Ikat dress can be your everyday dress.
A Khadi kurta can be your favourite weekend essential.
A Kalamkari shirt can work just as well at work as it does at dinner.
That is the India we want to celebrate—rooted in tradition, but never stuck in the past.
We work with the people behind the fabric
Every handloom garment has someone behind it.
A weaver who spends hours at a loom.
An artisan who has learned a craft through years of practice.
A family whose livelihood is connected to a skill that may have existed for generations.
Wherever possible, we work directly with artisans and weavers and curate products that reflect their craftsmanship.
Our connection with Ponduru Khadi weavers in Andhra Pradesh is one example of this approach. Ponduru's hand-spun and handwoven cotton tradition is a part of India's rich textile heritage, and we want more people to discover and wear it.
When you buy from Indysutra, you're not just buying another piece of clothing.
You're helping keep a craft in circulation.
Indian craft. Modern everyday wear.
We love tradition.
But we also love comfortable clothes, easy silhouettes, contemporary designs and pieces that actually get worn.
That's why our collections are designed around real wardrobes—not costumes.
You'll find:
Each piece is selected with one question in mind:
Would we actually want to wear this?
If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't belong here.
Why Indysutra?
Authentic Indian craftsmanship
We work to bring genuine Indian handloom and artisan-made products closer to the people who appreciate them.
Made with purpose
We believe fashion can create value beyond the garment—by supporting skilled artisans, traditional crafts and local livelihoods.
Designed for today
Traditional techniques don't have to mean old-fashioned designs. We look for pieces that combine Indian craftsmanship with modern, wearable styles.
Every piece is a little different
Handloom and handcrafted products naturally carry subtle variations. That's not a flaw.
That's the point.
Those little differences are part of what makes a handmade piece yours.
We don't want Indian craft to sit in a museum.
We want it in your wardrobe.
We want a young professional wearing an Ikat dress to work.
A Khadi kurta on a slow Sunday morning.
A Kalamkari shirt at dinner.
A handloom piece packed for a weekend away.
Because Indian craftsmanship doesn't belong only to festivals, special occasions or showcases.
It belongs in everyday life.
And that is what Indysutra is trying to do—bring India's incredible textile traditions into the wardrobes of a new generation.
Wear the craft. Know the story.
Welcome to Indysutra.
